Our Vision

Remington Traditional is a kindergarten through eighth grade school of choice. We will provide a comprehensive academic program with a strong emphasis on reading and writing throughout the curriculum. Our focus is to develop the whole child to reach his or her personal best, and to strive for the goal of proficient and advanced levels of achievement. Each student's progress will be monitored and instruction will be adjusted through open communication. Our school family will pride itself on being an exemplary model of citizenship through community service, responsibility, and caring relationships.

School Activities

During school: Renaissance, Student Council, Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, Bring a Special Friend Day, Veteran's Day Celebration, Multicultural Day, Talent Show, Staff/Student Kickball/Basketball Games, 5th Grade Camp, Mother's Day Tea, D.A.R.E., Middle School Book Battle, 5th Grade Biz Town, Olympic Day, Trimester Student Celebrations, Band, Instrumental and Vocal Music Performances and the February Living Museum.
After school: Student Council, Yearbook Club, Newspaper, Art Club, Technology Club, Spanish and French (Foreign Language ~ Collaboration with Pattonville Community School), Dance Club, Intramurals, Book Club and Choir.
Family Activities: Fun Fair, Book Fair, Chili Supper, Movie Nights, Skate Nights, Bingo Night, December Sing-A-Long, Count Down to Kindergarten, Open House, Music Performances and the annual Welcome Back Picnic.

Our Accomplishments

During the 2009/2010 school year, Remington Traditional made the school's Top 10 list of Highest Performing Schools in the state of Missouri for the 12th consecutive year. Remington remains a diverse school and committed to the academic success of each and every child. The stellar staff at Remington work hard to ensure that all children reach his or her full potential. Remington also has four National Board Certified teachers and several staff members who present at National Conferences each year. Remington is the only kindergarten through eighth grade public school in the Saint Louis County area. It is a Lottery-Based school and serves students who reside in the Pattonville School District.
